The first launch takes a very long time

Expected. The first run on a new profile prepares the agent runtime and its dependencies, which can take several minutes. Later launches skip it. Don’t quit during this step — an interrupted setup starts over on the next launch.

The app opens but nothing loads

OpenHive authenticates against OpenHive Cloud, so it can’t start a session offline. Check your connection and sign in again.

”No model is available right now”

No usable model provider is configured. Open Credentials and confirm you either have credit on OpenHive’s routed pool or your own provider key is present and valid. The same cause shows as “Aden API key not configured” on some surfaces.

”Couldn’t start your colony”

Colony creation failed on the way from your prompt to a running colony. Retry from the home screen — resubmitting the same request starts a fresh attempt.

A colony seems stuck

Check whether it’s waiting on you rather than working. Agents pause at decision points and ask in the colony chat. The Org Chart shows live status for everything at once, which is the fastest way to spot a colony that needs an answer.

I can’t reply from the Inbox

If reply controls say email senders need turning on, the feature is off for your workspace. See Inbox. If a specific thread says it can’t be replied to, there’s no sender connected that can send into that thread — see Email senders.

”This message was already answered”

Someone — or an agent — replied to the thread since you opened it. Reload the thread to see the existing reply rather than sending a duplicate.

Attachments are rejected on a send

Some sender types can’t carry attachments. Remove the files, or send them from a sender that supports them.

My CRM shows a setup prompt instead of records

The CRM hasn’t been set up for this workspace yet. See CRM. Note that Inbox stays reachable in the meantime.

Nothing in the Inbox after connecting a mailbox

A newly added mailbox fills in as it syncs. Give it time before treating it as a failure.

A second copy of the app won’t open

OpenHive holds a single-instance lock per profile — launching again while one is running exits immediately. Quit the running copy first.
