A queen is a specialist agent that owns a business function. Queens are the long-lived layer of your workspace: colonies come and go, but a queen accumulates expertise, memory, and preferences in her domain over time. Each queen appears in the sidebar as a named persona with her function beside her, so you pick the specialist you want the way you’d pick a colleague rather than from a configuration list.

The roster

Every workspace starts with a GTM core team active by default:
  • Growth — top-of-funnel strategy and experiments
  • Sales — pipeline and deal execution
  • Market Research — market, competitor, and segment analysis
  • Content Creation — written and creative assets
  • Lead Generation — sourcing and qualifying prospects
  • Outbound — sequences and multichannel outreach
  • Brand Design — visual identity and creative direction
  • Operations — process and internal execution
Additional queens are available in the catalog and can be activated when you need them: Technology, Finance & Fundraising, Talent, Product Strategy, and Legal.

Routing

You don’t have to choose a queen. When you submit a goal from the home screen, OpenHive reads the request, picks the queen whose function best matches it, names a colony for the work, and takes you straight into that colony. You land in the running colony rather than waiting on a loading screen.

Direct messages

You can also message a queen directly instead of starting a colony. Use this to ask about her domain, review what she knows, or give standing direction that should apply to future work she leads.

Activating and deactivating

Queens you don’t need can be deactivated — they disappear from routing and the sidebar without losing their history. A deactivated queen shows as Deactivated — click to reactivate in the Org Chart, and reactivating her restores everything.
